About the Creator
Brendon lives with his wife Kathryn and pugs Leilu (Yes, after The Fifth Elements Leeloo!) and Goku in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is graduating with a degree in Media Arts & Science, specializing in Game Design & Programming.
Brendon interned at Evance Solutions for 9 months as a game programmer, where he developed children's games for android and apple products. These games include Tic Tac Bananas and Champs of Numeria. He also worked on Return of Aetheria on the Game Design team for a year and half.
Brendon is currently looking for a position in programming and has specializes in Unity and C#. He has also developed his own terrain generator for Unity by importing height maps to detirmine the plains terrain. This also includes easy to understand UI functionality.
Windfall is a game that pits Guardians (players) against one another in an epic game of survival. You, as the player, become a Guardian of your choice, and you must do whatever it takes in order to outlast your opponent. To break down the game, in its simplest form: Defeat all Guardians on the opposing side of the field. Easy, right? That depends on the type of player you are. We have developed this game to be easy for beginners, but while still having the capability to be severely competitive for those who enjoy a more strategy based play style.
There are several different play modes in Windfall, but the easiest format is Highlander which plays with 3 Guardians in a best two out of three matchup. We have developed a series of Guardians, Spells, Relics, and Summons to play with in the game that form multiple combinations, keeping the game fun and interesting.
Windfall started out as a mere project, but has developed into something much more. We are now going to be released on local store shelves and for sale online with our CORE SET which houses 128 cards (1 of each Guardian, and 3 of each spell, relic, and summon). We have held several demos at local stores and have had an amaing turn out. We even held a Kickstarter which ended at 350% to goal, and it is because of this backing that we are able to pursue store shelves.
We have done so well that we will also be showcasing the game at INDY POP CON. STEELE Games has also been officially registered as an LLC, along with our BT-1 tax registration."
Overall, the game took eight months to complete, but has been well worth all the effort.
We, at STEELE Games, have ran a series of intense playtests over the last several months with people of all ages - from 6yrs to 60yrs. The game is easy to pick up, but hard to master. This means kids can easily learn the game and enjoy the basic fundementals of gameplay, but the more experienced players are able to utilize the strategic game structure to make the game far more advanced and difficult. Therefore we are targeted this game for kids +8 and up.
